New air roll up garage doors

Alright i am about to put in new doors on my touchless automatic. I have looked them all. I am thinking about ultimate products doors. does anybody have any info

I don't have any info other than what is posted on their website. I've been looking at doors for my automatics as well. I'm going to look into these doors, but have also inquired about the Clear Fold Doors as well.

Check out the Wyndstar too. I have two of them and am going to order two more soon.

I have ultimate doors on my touchless automatics. They worked pretty good (a few problems) the first three years we owned them. Last year (my fourth year) was a bit of a nightmare. Belts kept slipping and regulators were leaking. I can not blame this totally on Ultimate. The doors were hit on more than one occasion from oversize vehicles as well as a woman trying to back out of the bay when the door was closing. I do not have any product to compare it to but I do know I will be spending a whole day or two on these before winter hits this year!

i have them on our automatic and as long as they are installed right they work great, i recommend having them installed by a commercial over head door company that has experince with them. The only problem I have had is that the belt will slip and the door will only go half way up which doesnt really please the customer to much but I have the rubber belts on mine but I would almost consider going with the chain and sproket which is cheaper and less likely to slip.

They do a good job holding the heat in and the panels are doubled up and clear with air gap in between (much like a home window) which actually seems to help heat the bay when the sun hits it...

.

I would never go back to chain and sprockets. HAd them for 2 years and they ended up a nasty, rusted mess. Had to cut them off to put the rubber belts on. The belts occasionally slip but still much better than the chains.

I have several sets of Airlift brand doors and just installed two sets of Ultimate doors. I would have to say I like Airlift the best.

Out of curiosity, if you like the Airlift doors why did you go with Ultimate doors? Was there something with the Airlift that you didn't like that you thought Ultimate did better at?

(I'm in the market for doors on my automatics right now and am hearing a lot of different opinions.)

I have airlifts with the magna glide operator. They have held up pretty well, although you need to make sure to keep the stainless tube clean so the carrier doesnt load up with crap.

My adice to anyone would be to spend the money upfront and get the stainless or Poly hardware upgrade. You'll save in the long run.

Just a thought, if you like a particular door but don't like the chains rusting, you can always use stainless steel chain.
