Howdy y’all, I guess I need to start getting a plan together for my Water Wizard. I already have a huge list for the vacuums and self service but heck, why stop there.

The water wizard currently does not clean very well and from my reading sounds like it’s probably a chemical issue(I am going to get in touch with Kleenrite tomorrow and talk to a specialist on the Chems)

But I am trying to figure out the basics. I don’t even really know what chemicals I have now in the machine or what is supposed to be in each bin. Are there some maintenance items on this unit I should check to make sure it is working right?

I’m so far lost on this I don’t even know what to ask.

You probably need to get ahold of someone in your area. That works on Carwashs just to identify everything and help you get some working knowledge

I agree 100%, now I just need to locate someone that services my area and is competent.

Yes, as a beginner you need a local chemical specialist to help. Tunnel washes, IBAs, and self serve are all slightly different. It is hardest to clean with a touch free. Find someone that provides chemicals to local IBA operators and does a lot with touch free washing with independent operators and not C-stores. C-stores often have a different mentality that is more cost focused and less quality focused.

Member DJGall used to own Colemans in Oklahoma. Is this one of his washes? He may be able to help.

I doubt this was one of his but I wouldn’t know for sure. I am in southwest Oklahoma, the closest chemical distributor may be in Oklahoma City or DFW. Any suggestions guys?

Call Scotch Plaid in Dallas. They may be able to suggest someone in your area who can walk you through it and teach you the basics. Once you understand how the unit works, it's actually pretty easy to diagnose most things and adjust chemicals and how it lays on the car.

So, I have a guy coming from out that was recommended by Scotch Plaid. He sells chemicals and services equipment. Hopefully he can get my old Wash Wizard working better and he is going to teach me about what everything is supposed to do.

Considering what you've accomplished in so little time, I'll bet you will have no trouble understanding how the unit works and have it running properly.

Temple? I’ve been through there, I think they are “Oklahoma famous” for the Rockin H Restaurant. It’s not far from Lawton.

Small World indeed… so my water wizard, on the first presoak the boom doesn’t go all the way down to the rear of the vehicle. I have been reading the manual and originally thought it must be one of those telco eyes not registering the vehicle height. Upon further review that must not be the case, the other functions do go all the way down in the rear. Now I see there is a boom down timer for each pass. Maybe this is my issue. Does anyone know how to check what it currently set at?

I have not tried to get the DJ Gall yet but I will today. So, I guess my water wizard uses the same chemical for low pressure presoak and hp soap. I also have a heater in the presoak tank. Is there any value in turning the heater on? How about running the hot water for some functions?

You don't have to use HP soap. It doesn't really do anything, it's just a show for the customer.

It's to keep the heated water hot. If your incoming water isn't heated, the tank heater will not make a difference between cars. That would be a good place to add an on-demand heater.
