RO Question

Trying to learn a little about a RO system. The digital display for water quality fluctuates between 2 and 8, at what reading should the membrane be changed? Thanks

In my experience, it will begin to spot noticeably when the TDS is above 30. It's normal to fluctuate some, it usually starts at a higher number and drops as the unit runs. For this reason I like to set it so it runs as much as possible each time it comes on, which means using a tiny magnetic reed switch is bad.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like we have time to try and learn about the RO system.
