Ok guys and gals, after a week of frustration I’m going to rip the American changers and replace with a used Hamilton. Anyone know where I can get one now? Not sure what to do with the old ones. Target practice with my .357 magnum or small charges of C4

I like putting 5.56mm or 7.62mm diameter holes in my frustrating car wash equipment. :)

No, I just got the floor plan for my wash two days ago, I'll be buying one soon.

This is starting to look like a Twilight Zone episode. Thought I had everything handled. Got the parts last night to rebuild the two changers. Opened the box and there are only enough for one. And two parts were not in box. And the parts are not for this model. Ever seen on the evening news where a normal guy goes into a walmart with a fully loaded automatic weapon?

Still haven’t replaced the thing, but I’ve been surprised that my gross income hasn’t gone down. Card sales way up. Maybe I don’t need to replace it? One less thing to break.

He had a new unit and while I was arranging the freight he sold it. Turned out better for me. Saved thousands buying one on eBay.

We've done new doors for about a dozen sites over the last couple of years or so where they have completely removed their coin acceptors. I have yet to have one say they regret it. I'm not necessarily in total agreement with them but anecdotally there is positive evidence. I don't think it's going to be a sea change in the industry but there are those out there doing it sucessfully. One I personally worked with said the same as you, his numbers weren't down and he doesn't have to collect, carry, count, and deposit a bunch of quarters and no changer is one less thing to worry about going down. I can think of at least one that went to credit card only recently. It's only been about a month on that one so we'll see.
