Lumen Arch is a great show until the lights stop working and WW will not replace them. The LEDs do not last. Had a similar issue with their floor lighting. Not worth the extra expense given the poor quality control of the lights and the WW lack of any warrantee for them beyond 90 days.
What floor lights are you talking about?

About 4-5 years ago WW offered floor based direction lights. Three rows on each side of the bay. Each row has a set of green and red lights. Green for please drive forward and red to stop. They were cool at first but I doubt anyone sees them and the LEDs don’t last more than a few years. WW has a problem finding good LEDs but that is their only real unresolved issue

Another benefit of the lightshow is that it acts as advertising at night. It looks really cool and inviting to customers especially once the sun goes down.

I can see how those were an issue. Glad they stopped selling them.

I liked my Lumen Arch until it got wrecked 8 months ago, WW still hasn't replaced it.. they only send them out to new customers I guess.

Power towers are a YES. I'd maybe only do the 3 nozzle version instead of the 5 though.
I'd say no to Foam N Flow and I have that option.
I'd be worried about the Big Shot as well, upsell opportunity but people are going to complain.
We have all lumenarch parts in stock. Feel free to give us a call and we can get any parts to you.

Hyperflex? Yes
Spectra Ray? Yes as customers like the show
Under Carriage with power towers? Definitely as it helps you stand out from tunnels and gas station box washes. People ask about UC!
Big Shot Chemical Tire Application? No just something that people can complain about if the rims are not perfectly clean.
Tri Color Foam? Definitely
Foam N Flow? When the curtain works it looks awesome and impressive to customers. It does take some work to make the curtain look like the WW video (where they used a fortune of chemicals to get that perfect curtain) - and many owners just give up. My WW rep was able to help us perfect our curtain by using two injector ports on the Razor. It's a bit complicated but we can explain how to achieve the curtain if you need help after your Razor arrives. We use two containers of the same polish at different mix ratios to make the magic happen. Have not spent time to figure out why it helps but I can see the resulting difference when we made the change.
my car wash bay is not big enough to house a profile max so I would have to downgrade to a LXR which is essentially the same but missing the foam n flow and power wheel detailer.. I was thinking to combat this issue is to add the big shot to get some sort of wheel/tire cleaning.. do you think if I use a good enough chemical and put a sign to "drive in slowly" that it'll be worth it to add the big shot/results will be best without having it.. or should I just not advertise wheel cleaning at all and not get the big shot?

Watch your customers for a few hours. See how many drive in slowly. Very few if any. Even with a large sign, it will not matter. Don't waste your time with the big shot.

thank you for the input! do you think if my wash did not have any dedicated wheel/tire cleaner that may hurt my business or is it normal for some washes not to have a dedicated wheel cleaning system? I guess the side brushes indirectly clean the wheels sorta.

A lot of washes do not have a dedicated wheel cleaner. The regular wash process in a friction or touchfree will assist in wheel cleaning. So if your customers drive in and there is a wheel/rocker blaster and then sides brushes on a friction machine or presoak and HP rinse on a touchfree, the wheels will definitely be cleaner than when they came in. You can always advertise a “wheel/side panel high pressure spray” as a menu item. You are not saying “wheel cleaner”, but customers can deduce there is extra attention/treatment to the wheels.

Put in the power towers and just call that 2 options. Wheel Blast and Rocker Panel/Undercar Blast

Yeah I agree, the light show brings a lot of people with kids in... I think it increases wash quality perception as well since it looks more technologically advanced.
We just put in G&G colorwash lights on in our Razor IBA. Very first customer that went through pulled back around front to tell us she’s coming back with her kids soon. It‘s a two bay site & we haven’t gotten around to installing lights in the other bay yet. The lighted bay now washes 2x as many cars as the other. So were pretty happy

More colorful lights will draw more attention. I did get SpectreRay on my new Razor but apparently due to a lawsuit the new razors cant have lumen arch. I don’t know if I should add some other lights or if the SpectreRay on the machine is all I need.

Apparently the Lumen Arch design is IP of Belanger and protected with patents. My distributor said all machines shipped after August 1st can no longer have it. My Razor Edge shipped August 26th with no LumenArch. I know that for a fact.

Wow- that took a long time. Belanger had the illuminated arms for years on their Sabers and Washworld has been doing the Lumen Arch for quite some time since that.

Could you elaborate on which lights you got and how they are arranged? Maybe some pics of your bay? Thanks..
