I'm just happy with our newest software release for our Profile which includes the new Mirror Detailer option amongst a few other additions they added to the washview.
What's the mirror detailer do? What's 2nd best option they added?I'm just happy with our newest software release for our Profile which includes the new Mirror Detailer option amongst a few other additions they added to the washview.
wow that is so awesome! if i may ask to become the third busiest profile how many cars are you pushing on average a day? and with you saying about wear and tear do you think its because of the high car count you are washing or is it inevitable for many parts to fail at your rate if lets say I was washing 16,000 cars a year?We installed a WW Profile-Max in late 2018. It's loaded, to include Triple Foam, Foam & Flow and Wheel Detailer (high pressure, not brush). We also have their Power Tower and Undercarriage wash. I wouldn't change anything, but will warn that depending on your car-count, things do wear out and break. Our distributor told us that WW told them our Profile is the 3rd busiest Profile in the country; and this is just a single IBA in a rural community in South Texas. Things wear out and do require maintenance. The Wheel Detailers get alot of use and require hose and wheel-spinner replacements frequently. High pressure hoses, gearboxes and motors wear out also. But all in all, this is just the cost of doing business. We get folks who drive 30 minutes to get to our wash, even though there are some Ryko's, PDQ's and Mark VII's closer to them. The Profile does a super job. We intend to build a 2nd bay and install a WW Razor later this year, which should take some of the wear and tear off the Profile.
thank you so much for the reply! If you may could you expand on the specific types of hoses, sensors, belts, gearboxes, and motors that tend to fail from your experience? also what is your thoughts on the mark 7 softwash xt? I really want to get a profile max as well just like yours but another competitor is currently installing a mark 7 softwash xt which from my research seems like a decent wash.We have been fortunate to be washing over 21,000/yr. So yes, that has put alot of wear and tear on the Profile. As stated in my original post, we're frequently replacing hoses, belts, motors, gearboxes, and sensors, but those numbers speak for themselves. It's a machine, and things wear out. But because we keep it running the way it should, that's why people come back. We were constantly having problems with the power wheel detailer performing very sluggishly, not turning, not spraying water, etc. due to clogged and corroded hose fittings. Our WW rep suggested we change the fittings on all the hoses to stainless steel. We did this, it was not cheap, but it changed everything. The power wheel detailer is working like a champ with no problems. Our WW distributor asked if he could send a customer to our site to see our Profile. The gentleman told me how impressed he was with our wheel detailer because he had just seen another one in a different town and it was barely working.
When you say can't compare do you mean like the profile is just that much better or the other way around? Also for the belts are they all the same size or are there a wide variety of sizes? From a newbie perspective if a belt was to break does the machine tell you which belt broke or do you need to diagnose yourself? Do you think a normal person like me who is quite mechanically inclined can fix it or does a professional need to come out? From what I've heard, the Mark 7 can't compare to the Profile; although many have them. I really can't be specific about the motors, hoses and belts. There are actually and literally hundreds of belts and hoses on these machines. The motors and gearboxes are the ones that run the brushes.
I believe the Mark is a three brush designI have heard lots of good things about the Mark7 xt. It is a 5 brush, & faster than the Profile, though cleaning ability isn't quite as good.
Main complaints Ive heard on Profile is that it's slow , & hp wheel detailer has alot of moving parts, & therefore prone to breakdowns (Cheetah backs this up). But that's it...
Oh, snap, you're correctI believe the Mark is a three brush design
There are many different belts on the Profile -- the main ones are on each side that run the bridge -- although they're made of Kevlar, they still snap. There are many other belts that connect with the brushes. You'll definitely know when belts break and your wash goes down and you start getting calls from customers; and the Profile will also send you Fault emails. We are not "hands on", but have a maintenance agreement with our distributor. When you say can't compare do you mean like the profile is just that much better or the other way around?
