Control Board Repair?

The display on my LM30 thru-wall vendor is almost unreadable and new board is about $500. I believe all that needs replacement is the display module which looks like the red rectangle, lower right.
Any recommendations on where this could be done greatly appreciated.

That's the discontinued board for our Laurel 3 or 5 column machines, this one about 20 years old looking at the microprocessor code. The replacement is part #899-77 and it has a larger dot matrix LED display and allows for credit card systems to function with it. The sell for about $300 and it is plug and play. You can keep your current door or replace it with one that has a larger LED window so you can see all of the new display.

Thanks for the info, Chip. That picture is something that was pulled of the web for an image of the LED. It's impressive that you recognized it, but don't we all live and breathe this business?

The attached photo is actually what the failing LED is on. Any insights on it?
