Hello! I have been poking around this site.

I have a property and working with a drafter to calculate building costs in Canada. Looking at about $300,000 for the building and $280,000 for equipment running Turtlewax Pro - they will come install everything.

How do you guys determine what is a fair # of cars a day or month? It has high traffic on the corner here for a mid size town of about 8500 people. I am having a hard time putting a number on it for the bank/business plan. 50 cars a day? 80? 100? over 100?

Any advice GREATLY appreciated

what kind of car wash are you talking about?

Are used 3/10 of one percent of the daily traffic count, which is how many cars go by the site in a 24 hour period. The information was available for me on a state website. That was my helpful average cars per day through my touch free automatic. I used a best worst and average case scenario in my business plan.

Thanks, a touchless wash. So you used .03% vehicle catch rate?

math is always interesting
3 tenths of 1 percent [of 100] = 3/10 of 1/100 = 3/1000 = 0.003

10,400 cars per day was my DTC. 10,400×.003 equals 31.2.I used that as my hopeful average..
