I have an Oasis i5 Soft Touch and the Oasis Typhoon Touchless and was trying to see what other owner's wash times are on the i5?

I love the quality and I really believe it is one of the best on the market but our top wash is taking just around 5:30 (depending on vehicle size)

Would love to speed it up without tampering with our wash quality!

If you have an Oasis i5 I am really excited to hear your opinions and talk further about the equipment.

Thanks in advance!

We have an i5 and an XP. Both were put in about 2 years ago and both are real workhorses that produce an excellent wash that customers love. Our top wash on the i5 includes ceramic and is 4:20. You need to be sure you are taking advantage of the multiple processes you can do per pass. For instance, during pre-soak we are doing the underside, and during the wheel blasters pass just before the spot free we are also applying ceramic. That is our best seller and produces beautiful results.. It's my first brush machine and I was initially worried about damage claims, but have not had ANY!

Thank you for the reply! We had Jerry change our vend setup to his liking and the machine is doing multiple processes at once and cleaning better than ever. We have the pre-soak going on first pass to rear of vehicle and on the pass home the triple foam shoots out about a foot infront of the brushes to help with the time. I think we may have too many rinse passes. No undercarriage on our soft touch only on the touchless. Our top wash includes a ceramic as well. Would you mind sending me your vend setup?

Also, we are in North Carolina so I believe it is similar geography to TN. On our touchfree, we have trouble cleaning road film off the sides of dirtier vehicles. No low PH but two high PH passes and a 12 second dwell. I know its touchless so I try to keep my expectations lower but nothing hurts worse than seeing that road film on the sides of a dark vehicle after coming out of our touchfree. Currently testing out NCS chemicals but we were previously using JBS and I think we prefer JBS as of now. Would be interested to hear if you are using a low PH presoak or only high PH presoak?

Sorry for all the questions but I greatly appreciate the help! If its easier, PM me and I can shoot you my phone number! Thanks again.

I'll get you a pic of our top wash on the i5. Our XP is cleaning exceptional with no road film or eyebrows. In fact, it is the preferred wash of our largest funeral home for their black vehicles, hearse and vans. They run them through the XP prior to services. The 2 most important factors for getting them that clean is dwell and good Pre-soak. I use a single pass of high PH only (about 13ph) but the dwell is almost 1:30. For the XP the passes on the top wash are:
FB: High PH PS
BF: Tire Cleaner
FB: Low PH Tri-Foam
BF: Wheel Blasters
FB: HP Rinse
BF: HP rinse w/drying agent
FB: Ceramic
BF: Spot Free

You can see that by the time the first HP rinse is done, the PS has been working for about 1:30. When I started doing that is when I was able to stop fighting the road film and windshield eyebrows.

On the i5, it gets the same PS and tri-foam products, but the PS is diluted more since we have the benefit of brushes. But I am also using an ultra-low PH soap for my brush lube at about 400:1

I love that setup! What is the length of time for this top pkg? I see 8 passes, but only FB --->BF, so similar to 4 LW/ Razor full passes.
My Razor is 4:40, & that's pretty fast to me. But Id love to be at 3:15ish...ha

Thank you Jubalr! We have a different program so that picture really did not help but I was able to set up our Eclipse based on your typed out programming.

I got my dwell time to be a total of 1:25.

In order to get the higher dwell we switched to a Low PH Triple Foam that goes on over the PS like you.... we were previously using a Triple Foam Polish.

Our total wash time on the top wash is 2:30 haha this Eclipse can move! And that includes presoak, tire cleaner, undercarriage, triple foam, rocker panel blast, wax, drying agent, ceramic and a few HP rinses throughout and two Spot Free rinses at the end.

I had to make the Eclipse as slow as possible and not do multiple actions at once in order to achieve the dwell time... this thing is almost too fast haha.

I am seeing great results and cannot thank you enough for the help.

Only thing we are not cleaning well on the touchless are dirty rims if you have any suggestions?

Still need to get this i5 sped up, will work on that today.

Hi Coach, Total wash time on the top pkg is right at 4:00. I would need the extra arm of the Typhoon to get it down to 3:00.

Are you guys including drying times?
I got my Typhoon at 2:30 for top wash.. it was about 1:45 for top wash before stretching it out and allowing a longer dwell time for the presoak... and I literally cannot make it any slower lol.

We have a door separating our tunnel and wash bay. So after your wash the door opens you pull ahead and park while the dryer goes over your car. The door behind you closes and the car behind you starts their wash. Our dryers are between 30 seconds to 1 minute and 30 seconds. The higher the wash package the more times the dryer passes over your vehicle.

Our Typhoon is cleaning better than ever and our customers love it!! I'm still having trouble getting our top wash under 5 minutes on the i5. I do not want to hurt the wash quality so I am hesitant to switch things up without knowing if the quality will suffer. I pretty much just sped up our rinse and chemical passes, as per Oasis in order to not change the quality. Are you able to type out your passes on the i5 for me?
