Looking for recommendations for drop-in? replacement for the HYPRO 2345BP now that Pentair has eliminated the line.
Thanks!

Thanks, Randy. My 3535 has been a workhorse, but still have bad memories of the 623s that we used to have.

I'd replace them with a Cat 310
Any reason for the recommendation of 310 over the 5cp pumps? We have both at our SS, can't really tell a difference. 5cp is a little easier to rebuild and has the warranty on the head is all I can really tell. They seem to be direct replacements, I was planning on replacing with the 5cp when I have to replace any pumps - unless there is a reason to stick with the 310 pumps?

I just replaced two Cat 310's at my wash. They only lasted 29 years each with minimal or no maintenance before I bought the place 2018. I would consider that a win in my books. That's my vote... Randy is spot on.....

SW Indiana melon fields.
I think the plan was for the 5CP to replace the 310. I think they got pushback for planning to drop the 310 and ended up keeping it around. The 5CP is definitely easier to work on, but the 310 is more durable. Just my 2¢

We had a couple of the Cat 5CP pumps and they didn't last as long as the Cat 310 pumps. We had have very few problems with the Cat 310 pumps. I'd like to know what makes the Cat 310 pump so difficult to work on?
