Well we monitored it on it's way up, so we can monitor it on it's way down. It does have a direct influence on our businesses. Today $1.64/gal KCMO/Independance

Chicopee, MA is cheapest 'round here @$1.99/gallon. I'd love $1.64! Bring it.

Sometimes we forget about the different states gas taxes. That might be the discrepancy between "here and there". $2.05 in Leominster, MA (40 miles west of Waxman.

That is very right Eric. People wonder why they have to pay more for gas in their neighborhood. Local taxes have a huge part in it. Out in the rural areas it's pretty darn cheap. Metro areas depend on that revenue. For roads and salaries. Then when this money dries up, problems amass.

I just paid $2.08 in SE Pa. In my area (NE Pa.) the cheapest is $2.41. Across the border in Binghamton, NY it's 10 to 20 ? more than my area.

Washington State has the distinction of having the highest gas tax in the nation now. I bought gas on Monday and it was $2.19 at ARCO. Most other stations are $2.26. It?s less expensive in town than in the rural areas.

$2.20 is the cheapest I have seen it here on the Cape (Cape Cod MA.). At least .10 more as soon as you go over the bridge.

Atlanta has pretty much cracked the $2 barrier. Pricing is around $1.92 - $1.95 all over town. Would sure like to see an increase in wash business to go along with the falling prices but no real change yet.

Diesel here is 2.72 today. It will take awhile but it will help us. I also had two new cars in the bays today.

Just read in the paper that the oil futures for February are expected to be $30/barrel. That's a long cry from $200 predicted but a few months ago. I don't really expect a $30 barrel, just like I didn't expect the $200 one either.

Was at an economic development meeting/dinner last week. The speaker was a nationally recognized economist from NC State Univer. He said that crude would be going back up drastically the later part of 09 to 2010 (1st - 2nd Qt). This would happen on the heals of the economy coming out of recession. I do not agree with everything that he said but he did have soon interesting opinions and facts. So I guess that we had better enjoy the low prices while we can.
