We have Dixmor LED 7 timers on our Doyle vacuums. The red plastic body is so faded that the LED is almost unreadable. There is no cleaning it to make it better. Does Dixmor make a replacement body for the timers. They all work, so trying to avoid buying new timers.

The timer cases are about $8.50 ea. While your at it you should also get the Lexan protective cover for the face LED-7 timer. It helps the case last longer

Anybody tried a clear vinyl or ceramic tint to extend the life of plastic displays?

The previous owner at one of my washes left me a bunch of Lexan squares to place in front of the timers and they work great.
More than protecting from scratches it protects from the random a-hole that tries to use a tweaker-torch or hammer and screwdriver to destroy the display.
