Talos Bill Validator and Programming Discount Coupons from MEI ANRO

Hello -

Having issues with a new Talos Bill acceptor from Crane MEI - trying to program older MEI ANRO discount coupons - when I syay older they worked great with the MEI 2600 validators - just push the button on the back to configure - can not find a way to do this with the new Talos - does not seem to work as it is expected - has anyone had success programming these Discount coupons with Talos?

I know this is off subject but where do you buy the Crane MEI coupons at and are they generic or custom made to your wash and do your customers use them alot. I would reach out to MEI and ask or maybe Randy will chime in on this topic.

I have bought these direct from ANRO - they are the makers of the MEI Coupons

With power on the validator remove the bill box and locate the programming button hole which is located inside the bill validator bill path on the left side of the bill path up towards the top of the bill path, it’s about an inch down from the top. Inside that hole there’s a button, push the button one time to get into the programming mode. Reinstall the bill box and then feed in your discount coupon. Wait about 15 seconds or so for the validator to go out of the programming mode back into the run mode. If your using the Talos validator in a coin box out in the bay try to protect of water as much as you can, water will destroy them very fast and the repair bill is in the $225 range.

Thank you for this - I have tried this I believe but wil try again -0 this is the same process as the older MEI 2600 units - but have found that this has not worked for me.
