I have the futura touchless wash, recently I've been inhabiting the lack of foam. New flojets, all hydrominders rebuilt, foot valves etc. I have good water flow and PSI. Recently a sales rep told me to switch the tips to purple. Since then it looks like soap water,no color or foam! Should I switch back to the red tips I originally had? TIA

That was my thought exactly. I've had more complaints about the triple foam since I changed the tips. Everything is fresh and new. You think I should go back to red tips or try the yellow?
Purple is 126:1 ratio at 40 psi which in my opinion isn't adequate

There are way too many factors, no one on the internet is going to be able to tell you which tip to use. You can probably get a starting point if you say the exact chemical you are using. If you are using a chemical supplier, they should be dialing this in for you. Red tip is like 20:1, and you went to 120:1, and now are considering 90:1 - those are very huge gaps. What pressures are you running flojets and air injection at?

Not sure how the foam is created on the futura but on our Kondor it goes through mesh foam in the foam arch right before going on the car. Every 8-12 months they start to get filled with algae and the foaming quality decreases. For us and we have to take them apart and clean them. After we clean them the foam is great again, thick and even.

I'm running tri valley Brilliance tri foam. On the jug it reads to dilute 120:1 to 240:1 depending on equipment. My psi is 40 for the chemical and 30 psi for air flow. The rep told me to switch them from red to purple and that's when I noticed the lack of color foam. I'm just having a hard time dialing it in

You went from red to purple? That's a huge jump. Are you getting air to mix with the chemical mix, sounds like you are missing the air
40 psi on chemical and 30 psi on air.
Only reason I changed the tips is a rep came out to the location and told me.
Should I go back to red?

Hard water will effect how much chemical is needed to foam and look good. Your chemical supplier should be testing all of this and setting up your chemicals for you. That is one of the main purposes of using a local, knowledgeable chemical rep. If your current supplier is not doing this, you need to find a new supplier that will help you properly setup your chemicals.

Better yet, tell him to come out to your wash and fix the issue

That's what I get paid to do.
Not to mention they are bot very familiar with the Futrua Revolution.they deal more with the Razors at my other locations. I'm trying to figure this out on my own and reaching out here for some helpful advice

You have some good starting points to start your troubleshooting between the 2 threads you are asking the exact same thing in.
