Texas dirt in Ohio!

During the night we got half ass rain shower. Loaded with dirt that the winds blew up out in plains. Even the local weather folks are talking about it here in Ohio. Second time this year it has happened.

For us it was was a record weekend. This is usually the busiest time of the year anyway so that helped I'm sure. Also, we just recently reopened after being closed for over a year for a very large remodel.

I cant really stress how crazy the last 3 days have been.
Went to one of my washes at 6:50 am to grease the Razor.
I had a line already- waited 45 minutes just to have 5 min to grease the unit.

Exactly!!! Your pits will fill up quicker too! So keep an eye on them....I have shallow pits that I generally shovel out once a month...Did it this morning after only 2 weeks and they were more full than a normal month! Hard to get done when cars are lining up to the bays, even on a Tuesday!! I've never been this busy and owned the wash over 14 years!

I remember this happening back in the '80s. We took in over $2300, topping our best week ever by a longshot. At the time, we were 50¢ for 5 minutes.

Id like to have the dirt rain happen about 4 times a year, both washes have been packed for 4 days from 7 am to 8 pm. Then been about like a normal busy day from 8pm to 11pm.

Im still swamped but am seeing shirter lines today but the machines and bays are still staying busy so really just as much work just less people waiting right now, i may slow down tomorrow more like normal.

i did 186 on Saturday, 173 Sunday, 158 Monday, 155 yesterday at one site that averages 35. The other Averages about 50 per day and it has been in the realm of the same numbers. Definitely seeing a little more residue left on cars today though with the crap sitting on the cars for 5 days, 70 degrees yesterday and near 80 today. Ive slowed the machines down a little and dropped 1 tip to put presoak on a little hotter and seems to be doing better.
