KR presoak

With 18 boxes or so of vending a top a free shipped pallet load (4 55 gallons drums)...I could get my chemical costs down.

I know someone who was using the "In-Bay" stuff with a Vector and was very pleased with it. He found a local supplier who formulated an equivalent product, otherwise he'd still be using it.

I have been using KR to lower my chem costs for a few years now. As far as those products go here's my 2 cents;

Item 1 In-Bay presoak. Presently using that one and pleased with it.

Item 2 1A Acid Presoak. Simoniz product and contains Ammonium Bifloride, so I would not use that one for safety reasons.

Item 3 1B Alkaline Presoak. Simoniz product, ok, but I prefer the In-Bay.

Are you using another low ph from KR? Safety is of course a concern, but I want a quality dry car for less. Are speaking of handling as a concern for using the 1A Ammonium Bifloride or damaging cars?

Both handling and damage. I currently use the InBay KR presoak but change to the Transmate Film-Away in the summer for the bugs. I do not currently use a low pH presoak.

Are you making 2 passes with the same KR product? No low PH?

I use low two passes of low PH presoak. I use Warsaw chemicals presoak. It works really well. An article ran in the paper here last year that scared everyone away from acids. Apparently some washes use acid on the underbody spray. Unlike the first pass, it does not get neutralized by a subsequent pass of a base. Needless to say, every wash in town had a sign that said, "No HFl acid used here".

I am new but I think the trick to getting any presoak to work, especially the two passes of low PH is the correct combination of mixture rate, water softness and temperature.

I've used Warsaw chemical since 1985. What low PH product are you using on your two passes. I've never heard of using low PH on both passes. Usually it's a high PH product being used on both passes. What part of the country are you located in?

Ric, I do two alkaline passes.

Indiana, I never heard of two acid passes. Hard on the equipment and the acid doesn't get neutralized by the alkaline in the second pass. Also, acids are not effective on bugs.

Ditto to 2 hi ph passes. Great combo for me. First stronger=more dwell of nice, strong chem.

DUR!!!!! Did I say low. I meant high. LOL. Like I said, I am a noob. My post makes a lot more sense if you inser low every place it says high.
