I am jealous! Your band is great. I played in a Dixeland and Swing band for about 10 years when I was younger. Keep up the good work and post more videos.:D

Nope; I'm not in this one; they filmed on Easter and I wasn't looking to get divorced, so I arranged for the Model A and stayed home. Plus only 3 bandmembers play on it, plus a group called 'primate fiasco' who did more horns.

That was great. My mother played piano for silent movies--started at 17. The carbon for arc in projector was expensive so she could not preview--she watched first time with audience and had to improvise on the fly. I love ragtime--a good resource:

Ted,

You reminded me of my teenage days in the 80s as a projectionist. Three old theaters I worked in had the old MagnaArc carbon light sources for the projectors. A real throwback! Until about 15 years ago, the equipment in those theaters had not changed for over 50 years! Carbon arcs, Victoria 8 projector heads and optical sound pickups. Today, I still find it hard to believe that most theaters still use film!
