Had a newbie call me about "Lining" the conveyor deck. AFAIAC this is "Common Knowledge". Basicaly you have strips of steel on top of the conveyor deck where the pusher / rollers ride. His deck was wearing and the distributor reccomended the lining.
So it got me to thinking. About 30 or so years ago we decided that whenever we installed a new conveyor we would line the deck (or order it that way) before the rollers had a chance to wear the deck. This saves the structure and you jsut replace the lining / flat stock periodicaly when it becomes thin.
Do most of you do this?
