Hamilton XE Chip

What isthe latest chip for the XE? Where is the least expensive place to purchase? I did not perform the last update and everthing appears fine but heard the new $5 could pay out $20.

The chip isn't very expensive. Check the catalog houses (Kleen-Rite, Windtrax, etc), see if one will mail it to keep shipping down. That will make the biggest difference in cost. They won't sell you a chip that isn't the latest. There were some issues with CoinCo reading the new $5 as a $20, but I've never heard of that with Hamilton.

I bought a conversion kit from capital vending and I believe they're selling the XE chip for half price of what everyone was selling. I believe it was like $20 for the chip. That was last year though.

It's probably not made by Hamilton. or it's not for the XE. Kleen-Rite has started making cheap knock-offs of stuff. If Randy says the latest XE chip from Hamilton is v3.01, the latest XE chip from Hamilton is the v3.01.
