Love it

Hi Tell,

I've had mine for a year and a half. Love it. My customers do too. I shopped around extensively and selected the XP because of its speed, capabilities, and knowledge of the manufacturer. Support from the Mfr has been great.

Your biggest issue will be getting a reputable rep to put it in, do what they say they will do, and support you. It's unfortunate for that to be such a big factor, but it is equally as important as selecting good hardware.

Cheers, Lee

I have owned Oasis automatics for 15 years and have had nothing but positive things to say about the service and quality of their equipment. I switched to the XP 2 years ago and my car counts are up over 30%. Washes faster and more cars than any of my competitors with clean cars coming out. Problems they did experience when they first introduced have been corrected and have improved the performance. I cant believe that Jerry would every say what is presumed he said in a previous post. Granted things can be improved and he does recognize that and makes every effort to do so, but to run down his own equipment, I dont believe that.

I would strongly recommend putting in something else. I have had the opportunity to work on one of these machines and it was a nightmare!!! We even had the head service tech from Oasis, Jerry, come down and take a look at it because we were having so many issues with it, and he even admitted that is was the worst designed car wash that Oasis had ever put out. They are very difficult to work on and the programming and operation can be very difficult also. Again, this is the last wash that I would put in. Are there any other washes that you are looking at putting in?
OASIS SAID THE XP IS WORSET DESIGNED PIECE OF EQUIP THEY EVER PUT OUT OR JUST YOUR UNIT????

I dont believe that it is the worst at all....I had a Monsoon before and loved it...but the XP has been great....I do agree that service is a key to any equipment....I maintain myself and found the factory to be top notch....and Jerry LeClair also. I will buy Oasis again and consider the Typhoon.

Jerry told me and another service tech, "that although there have been many improvements, the XP is one worst designs that they have put out." I honestly have not seen any of the other models, as Oasis is big in our area, so I am not saying that Oasis is a bad company, just that I would not suggest an XP. The support that I received from Oasis, especially Jerry, was top notch.

I drive past a location with a Typoon every day on my way to work. I always know that if they have a customer that means we will be busy. They never even take the orange cones into the equipment room. I assume that is because the machine is down so much. I see it down often and it is not a busy wash. The owner was an Oasis distributor and I nearly bought one from him. I am very glad that I did not.

I've seen a number of washes like that. One I used to pass every day left two cones by the equipment room door so customers could block off bays that weren't working. It's such a pathetic sight to me.

because jerry is a good man and tells the truth on many faults oasis machines have .He is the one that has to try to fix the problems out on the field it gets extremely frustrating and EXTREMELY EXPENDSIVE

I have an oasis machine in the Midwest. Very unhappy with dealer. I'll probably switch to WW in the near future.

I owned 3 Oasis monsoons and was happy with the machines. I am replacing my last one tomorrow with a WashWorld Razor. I like the construction of the Razor and the big thing was the virtual attendant on the inverted L. When it comes up against a car it alerts the plc and either tries to go around or move to continue the wash or shuts down and the the customer to exit. Without the virtual attendant when the arm goes against a car[ and it will happen] something will get damaged and nomatter what caused the problem you will pay for damage to the equipment and probably the car. Just one less thing to worry about.

I have 2 typhoons, a monsoon, and an xp. My xp is about 3 yeas old and I hate it. It is a pain to program, the eyes are junk and had to up grade it with my own custom system, the entire unit and pump stand is built out of very cheep stainless steal that is rusting out at an unbelievable rate, and the Chem injectors are a built in to a custom solenoid block that has gone bad and also had to build my own set up. Oasis has warranted some of the bad stainless but only the guide rails and wall mounts. Now... My typhoons and monsoon are older units and are great machines. These machines have around 100,000 washes on them and are still in great shape with very little problems!

I am 2 years into my new xp. Worst decision I made was putting this in. Smae issues as posted by others, injectors - sensors, eyes, prox sensors and cables...all one issue after another. Wash World or Laser should have been my choice...live and learn. When running...it does a good job. But I NEVER go long without a repair call or trouble shoot.
