Prox Part #/Turck/Superior

Waxman

Super Moderator
Hi all.

I am chasing down a part # for the large size prox switch used on a Superior 700 circa 2006. There are only 2 different prox sizes used on the 700.

It sends signals for: carriage home, carriage out wide, carriage out narrow, as well as home (on rail target) and rear end of travel (rail).

I got a bogus part # and sent the part back. Now I need a correct part # so I can order a new one.

It's 24v dc, 2-wire, and has a small (1/4"?) 4-pin connector.

Turck part #???

TIA.

Nevermind! The friendly and knowledgeable Don E. at Turck hooked me up with a part #. I just needed to get a few more photos to him to properly i.d. the little bugger;)

Just found out about Turck's warranty when an LED went out on one of my Turck Prox's (by the way, many switches are still working when the light burns out). 3 year warranty covers faulty light as well.

I'll be da#$#%%#$U....
I have had many on the JC 2.0 and know they kept on working even though the light was not...but never really knew.... thanks for the infO!!!!

If anyone needs them I now have several sources for these proxes.

My 700 was running in fits and starts again today. We really could use a category on here for Superior owners like me who are in need of ideas, help, parts, etc.

Bill P.??

Today we found a bad cable end on a front-rotate prox. Yikes. I am being well-tested this Winter.:(

Waxman, After all this you could become a Superior tech. Good work. The time you have spent learning about your equipment will be well rewarded in the future when you have problems.

Dave, just think of all the money you saved, by not having someone out to fix it. $3-400 easy, and learned something besides. I had a problem with mine yesterday, and for 3 hours went in circles, Taking apart all my lexair valves, greasing them, etc. then found a bad check valve. Also relieved i saved a few $$ with just a little time and effort.
