I use a large roberts on my touchfree-not the most reliable, and 1.5 yrs.
I used to use a mechanical switch with a rainbird sprinkler valve--extremely reliable. Less than $20, and a $3 diaphram every couple of years. Extremely quick on and off, so can hammer the pipes on some installs, with high water pressure.
What kind of float switch? 12/24 volt, 110?You just connect it in-line on the plumbing to the tank and use a float switch in the tank to turn it on and off.
