Most durable coin box decals of all

I spent a good portion of the day visiting with local silk screen & decal makers within our city. There was one who has the ability to in house --- start out with clear polycarbonate & print on the reverse including clear strong adhesive on the same reverse side. That seems to be by far the best but I have not received what their proposed cost to me will be other than it is a very expensive process. The decals will be for the transformation of our coin boxes from touchpad to vandal proof switches. All electronic issues are resolved & tested & after all that ---- I certainly do not want decals that are easily scratched or cut which seems would be the case if just vinyl or laminate over whatever was used. I might be able to get the overall quantity really high because of another even bigger decal need inside our attached laundromat & dog wash.

I know there have been previous posts about decals but I don't believe the durability of them has ever been thoroughly discussed.

I just had some made. From all my research Lexan is the best around for decals. I ended up going local but this website seemed to have some pretty good deals but you have to put in the time to design your decals.http://www.craftmarkgraphics.com/

Oh and they cost me about $62 after I each locally after I paid for the design work.

How did quantity affect your price?

I have to do 100% of the artwork because of the precise alignment to the indicator LEDs & the Dixmor LED7 display, the coin slots, the button holes etc. So that is taken care of ---- unless the Lexan decal maker says the number of colors or the nonadhesive on the necessary LED clear windows is a problem.

Did they leave clear nonadhesive Lexan windows leaving just your readouts readable through the decal?

Especially since no one else responded I appreciate getting as much first hand info to work with on this as possible. Sometimes there is such a wild difference in price for sometimes lesser quality.

Several years ago I had D & S make some decals for me that work/look great.
I'm not sure they still do it but it/s worth a call to them.
