Oh boy, was it one of those days at the wash today.
I arrived at the wash this afternoon to my normal muddy bays and overflowing trash cans, but I was also blessed with a pickup load of trash thrown on and around my dumpster. I was very proud of myself for recently putting the sign above my dumpster that reads, "Positively No Dumping". It also goes on to say it's against various state and federal laws and to smile because your on hidden camera. Obviously, the people that just visited my dumpster either did not see the sign, or just couldn't read. I also got to clean up another trash can's worth of garbage from the parking lot next to my vacuum island. Following my normal protocol, and not cutting the idiot any slack, I called the local police. Of course the people are too dumb to pick out all the trash with their names on it, so I had a large sample of their name and address to show the police. By the way, the parking lot dumper was also the same one that buried my dumpster. The police officer headed up the street to the trailer court to track them down, and I waited patiently by my truck in front of the wash, as I was ready to head home. While waiting, the wonderful landscaper guy came in and washed mulch and leaves out of his bed all over one of my bays and the young man helping his mother vacuum her car was throwing rocks that were apparently found in the car, out into my grass. The police officer called back and stated that the person on the letters that I found was a 75 year old woman who sent her grandchildren to clean her car earlier in the day. She would call them and get them to come down and clean it up to avoid the ticket. Satisfied with the results, I walked back to the dumpster to lock it up before leaving and SOB if there wasn't some damn black guy standing next to my dumpster taking a ****. I yelled at him and asked him what he thought he was doing and he just replied "****in". I told him to get out of my car wash and he said he would when he finished. I told him to leave now or I would call the police. He said, he would be long gone before they ever got there. Of course, I was beyond mad at this point and walked over to get his tag number and told him that I had all the information that I needed. The guy starts screaming and yelling at ME, like I did something wrong. I yelled at him that I was trying to run a business here and that would not be tolerated at my wash. I told him that there is a gas station right up the street that he could use, but of course, he said he couldn't wait that long. Anyway, he ended up leaving threatening me the entire time because I must have offended him or something by telling him he couldn't do that in my place of business.
What is wrong with people in this country? Does anyone teach their children respect and what's right and wrong anymore? I just want to load up all my trash from the car wash for the day and take it over to THEIR house and dump it all over their yard and see how they like that. I really needed one of those sweet old ladies telling me how she drives clear across town to use my wash today.
Frustrated,
Lighthouse.
