HELP! Conveyor fails to start. Roller jam error message is displayed on bottom screen even though jam has not occurred. If the TW is shut down and the computer rebooted we were able to start and run successfully for several cars.
After conveyor shut down the roller jam error would pop up and the conveyor failed to start. BTW- Peco equipment and neither of the guys who did the install are on call this weekend so can't be reached.

Currently the conveyor is on continuously in the manual override mode and there has not been a problem sending cars.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks.

No, I onder if your TW is programmed to say roller jam if convyor is running and it does not detect a pulse for X length of time. Can you determine this. Perhaps you can try to run on simulated pulse and see if it still happens.

Excellent suggestions, Earl. I won't be back on site unitl tomorrow unless it stops entirely. At this point, we can wash so I'm reluctant to fiddle with it unitl after hours.
I'll let you know how I make out.
Thanks.

Call DRB?

i cant remember why, but it seems to me we turned off "detect roller jam" for some reason, isnt that an option of some sort?

It sounds like your pulse switch isn't working. Earl is right, just run on simulated pulse until you can troubleshoot the problem.

I think we've got it resolved. Tried this morning to run on simulated pulse but got no response from the conveyor. All other functions fired correctly.
It appears to be a pseudo pulse / jam issue caused by a bad motor starter on the hydraulic pack. I guess the computer thought a roller jam had occurred when it failed to see a pulse after the allotted time because the hydraulics hadn't started.
Thanks, again.

When this happens, the first thing i do is go to tunnel watch and hit O for other operations. The first option is Acknowledge error messages. Clear the message and it should go back to operating as normal as long as there is no other issue. We have this happen every once in a while. I've got 4 tunnels on DRB. Took me a while to figure out the roller jammed conveyor message sometimes appears for no reason!

I programmed out the DRB option to go to simulated pulse automaticaly if pulses not detected for a period for this reason. Made us nuts sunce the timing would all of a sudden go off and I did not want my guys messing with the DRB. So, now if there is a pulse issue I have to put it to sim pule manualy. I leave instructions for this if I am not there.
