Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence. Ten years later, while the Constitution was being written in Philadelphia, Jefferson was Ambassador to France and had the opportunity to spend long hours studying the history of governments and thinking about the future of our knew United States. Jefferson was our third president, and one of the founders of the Democratic Party. Perhaps we should think about what Jefferson wrote to Washington, Franklin, Adams, Hamilton, Madison, and others as they struggled to write our constitution and devise our knew system of government.

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save on half the wars of the world.

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe we shall become as corrupt as Europe.

This is profound as it can be applied to the path that our government is taking today!

I am actually glad that Obama won the election. McCain would have been a disappointment, but now the whole country can see how a community organizer followeed by the Democrats, can really screw things up. I only hope enough of the people who voted for this guy will open their eyes and never put them in the majority again. The country is swimming in debt and unemployment, the head of the Federal Reserve, and Obama, both say that many of these jobs will never come back. They are trying to keep as many people on the dole as possable. Permanent unemployment for the masses, while presbo eats $100 per pound imported beef with his hollywood friends. He tells us to cut back on our CO2 emissions, while he, Biden, and Pelosi jet around on our dime. I hope to see the day when someone rubs this bastar+s nose in the dirt. The best way to get rid of him is to have him humilated in public.

How any intelligent person cannot see where this Administration is leading us is hard to understand. High unemployment, economy spiraling downward, higher taxes on taxpayers and businesses, undisciplined spending and a total lack of leadership and understanding on how to create real jobs and stimulate the economy with incentives for businesses to grow. This AdminiOn top of all that we are becoming the laughingstock of the world with our foreign policy.

"The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money." ~ Alexis de Tocqueville (1835)

Guess what - the administration is just trying to buy votes. They don't give a damn about anything else. It's time to water the tree of liberty.

And Fox News, Rush, O'Reilly, Beck, Rove and anyone else that might object to the disaster called this Administration.

One night, Obama was awakened by George Washington's ghost.

Obama saw him and asked, "George, what is the best thing I could do to help the country?"

"Set an honest and honorable example, just as I did," advised George.

The next night, the ghost of Thomas Jefferson moved through the dark bedroom.

"Tom, what is the best thing I could do to help the country?" Obama asked.

"Cut taxes and reduce the size of government," advised Tom.

Obama didn't sleep well the next night, and saw yet another

figure moving in the shadows. It was Abraham Lincoln's ghost.

"Abe, what is the best thing I could do for the country?" Obama asked.

"Go to the theater," replied Abe.
