In the last 5 days, one of my RNS Hamilton machines with a mars 2600 validator flashes 5-3. Twice the stacker had no money in it , another time it had 6.00, another time there was 4.00. Does anyone have an idea of what is causing this problem. I cleaned the validator but still doing same.

A 5.3 error is a “Unexpected Hopper 3 Payout” Replace the payout switch or try readjusting it. Give the Hopper a quick rap or shake, if it goes out of service the switch is set to close or just worn out. You can also try cleaning the pocket lint out from under the switch arm, that make it do what your talking about.
