Yesterday at wash customer could not get carpet cleaner to come on. Checked and time was running off but compressor or carpet pump were not on. Have second carpet machine that is not installed yet. Went and got both relays and tryed them first. Then put another timer in and it was working fine. This morning the exact same problem happened. Put old timer back in and still not working. Now I believe that I have 2 timers that are bad and I believe that something in the vacumn is causing the problem to timers. I decided to take one of the timers that the carpet portion does not work and install it at my second wash with my last carpet combo. Turned it on with that timer and heard loud buzzing. I tryed to check it asap but was worried it would brake something in this good vac. It felt as if everything was vibrating inside box. I felt by hand the air pump, and both selenoids and it seemed as if all were vibrating. The vac portion on both timers still works. Does anyone have a suggestion on what to check. Can't stick anymore timers in to get messed up. Thanks.

you may be low on solution in the tank, there is a low level cutoff switch that prevents the shampooer from running when the tank is low.

from what you say they are new vac.sounds as if you might have a wiring problem causing the timers to go.

If this is true the out of service light should be on.

The shampoo level is full. The level switch does work as I took off wire and the light is now on to let the customers know it does not work. Called out an ex Coleman tech to look at it. Has not called back to set up time to meet. I will have to go to Coleman and buy a timer from them as soon as I know what is wrong with it. I think something is shorting out timers. Air pump, solenoids, soap pump. Hope tech can find the problem. Once it is fixed I will then send out to B & C the 2 timers that are bad.

The LED - 6 can replace a B&C? Is that true?
Coleman has a couple of timers I think. 2040 and something else. Will the LED-6 replace either one of them as a direct replacement with the same connectors? I've always hated the Coleman timers and would replace them as they fail if I could.

Car Wash Supply in Houston, TX is now a distributor for the Coleman Timers. Definetly give you a better price than Coleman.

The new Dixmor LED-6S timer is a direct replacement for the Coleman combo unit timer. The only equipment the LED-6S timer won’t work with is the Swipe & Clean system. The list price of the LED-6S timer is $350.00.

The regular LED-6 Timer is a replacement for the TM series timer. List price for the regular LED-6 timer is $300.00. The nice thing about the LED-6 timer is they are bright and easy to see in the day light

The LED-6 and the LED-6S timer are new timers. They came out at the last ICA convention.

When you power up the LED-6 Timer used better have your sunglasses on or you’ll think it’s the second coming!!! They are BRIGHT!! The LED-6 Timer uses the same LED’s that are used in the ACW displays and I think they are better sealed against moisture. I believe Dixmor is going to discontinue the LED-5 Timer and go with the LED-6 Timer.
