I know winter is gone sort of - but I wanted to ask a general question - If I am already pushng product through my Hydrominder - Instead of me mixing the methanol with the soap in the drum .. is there a way to mix it at the Hydrominder? Meaning have a duel tip system one for the meth. and one for the soap - this would allow them to mix evenly everytime?

Anyone have suggestions? or products I can go to to use?

I am a distributor for Blendco and i use one of there doudle injectors, one with foam brush and the other with meth and use a hydrominder to mix the 2. I think hydrominder makes a double injector but i have no idea if it would work the same.

Thank for this info - How has the double injector worked for you in the past?

Your mix has been constant / Steady?

It works great we use this set up for all but a few customers, that still want the ready mix. The mix is the same with any hydrominder if the water pressure is up and down your mix it up and down

I purchased a dual hydrominder from Kleen-Rite with 1/4 hoses over a year ago and have been mixing methanol and foam brush since then, works great! You can save a lot of money by buying a 55 gal barrel of methanol and doing it yourself. I used to mix it in a 5 gal bucket, what a mess. This is a simpler way to go. CCAR

I've been doing it for years by adding a tee and a second stub and tip to dilute hyper-concentrates straight from the bucket. Instead of drawing from two pails, it draws from the bucket with one and from the already diluted mix in the tank with the other. It has always mixed consistently.

Is there a reason you don't use the ultra lean tip kit? I am asking because I have one location where it does not seem to work for me. Perhaps I'll try this route. What products and tips are you doing this with? do you do trial and erorr or some formula like if you use a purple 120:1 fpr the concentrate and the pink to the tank 240:1 you ed up with like 360:1 or what?

Because when we first started using ultra concentrates, the only "ultra lean" systems were from Turtle Wax which were expensive and very fragile, or Blendco who doesn't sell them at all. We use Scotch Plaid chemicals who came up with their own, which was nothing more than what I described. I believe they used trial-and-error to find the right tips for each of their concentrates - there's no chart.

I mix two different foam brush products together and did have to use trial-and-error to find the right dilution.

I'd like to try this for KR stuff advised to be about 600-900:1 I now am mixing with water and then using a pink tip.
What was the reccomended ratio for what you are using and what tip colors did you end up with?

I don't know; I mix two pails of product that dilute 660:1 and one pail that dilutes at 1100:1. If I remember correctly, I'm currently using a purple tip for the concentrate and a red or blue one pulling from the diluted mix. I started with a pink tip for the concentrate and couldn't get the solution right - it was easier with the purple tip.
