Does that surprise anyone? It took him over two years to release it. I also understand that it lists his father's citizenship in Kenya. Kenya did not exist when Obama was born. The numbering sequence is also out of order. Babies born before he was supposedly born had higher numbers than he did. All this really puts the whole thing in a different light but by putting this out he can at least stall off most of the inquiries until 2012.

I think kenya was named in 1920 and under british rule and became sovereign in
1963. That may be the only thing correct on it. Some also dispute the name of the hospital in 61. That what they show is a hospital document. I took a certificate of live birth of mine to get a passport, and they wanted a birth certificate issued by the state, with an embossed seal- Two different documents. Most say obama was born in kenya and came to the us a few days later and this was issued this from the hospital.--Now modified heavily it looks like.
Some also say a natural born citizen is one born from two US citizen parents. Now like the immigrants that have kids here. Not natural born citizen according to the wording.

This idiot is dangerously incompetent and needs to be removes as soon as possible before the U.S. turns into a third world country, if it isn't too late already. Why is noone in the lame stream media not doing any research on this...are they scared?

I didn't realize this was a right wing political forum to bash the president. While I am not a big Obama fan I also don't think he needs to be erroneously condemned as being against America. Given the crap he was handed from the Bush administration (completely inept) he is trying to make a go of it. I am registered independent and like to vote based on the person not the politics. This birth certificate thing needs to go away. It's a complete witch hunt.

Just my two cents.

I agree, Buzzie. Heck, it shut up that windbag Trump, that should be proof enough. It's almost like PC and Doug have flipped sides and returned under aliases. You would think Obama is an ax murderer the way he is bashed. No, I didn't vote for him, but as Palin seems to get nuttier by the day I'm less and less disappointed that I lost my vote. I'm not sure today that I want her a heart attack away from the oval office.

Snopes is nothing more than an opinion site, so I always take what they say with a grain of salt. Obama put himself in the position of having to defend where he was born. All he had to do was release it 2 years ago and this would have all gone away. I want to know why he won't release his school transcripts like every other president in the past has. Obamas biggest problem is his inability to make his mind up about anything. He wants to ride the fence on every issue. I guess we should expected as much from someone who during his time in the Senate voted "present" on almost every issue.

I think the extremes Obama has gone to in order to hide his past creates the suspicions that thrive today. We know the minutest detail of almost every candidate that runs for office in this country yet he has to be threatened to release something as critical as his birth certificate. Never in the recent history of our country have we known so little about the past of a President as we do about Obama - a man who promised transparency in his administration. This is the highest office in the land and we have a man in it that has a carefully hidden past. Doesn't that automatically raise suspicions?

Buzz, you might be right, however the snopes you reference, is about the first apparently fake BC that was on his election site first. The fox debunk, is stated as an opinion, a friend of mine uses the adobe software and agreed that the kid makes sense.

rph, is right that if he hadn't of spent $80M hiding his past, we wouldn't be speculating on this. Of course, we all have more to worry about that this, but I thought that it was a slow week, so I started this tread.

Speaking of other things, in Texas, someone sued a school, to prevent a pray being said at the graduation, saying that it would cause irreparable damage to him. A judge actually agreed with him, but another judge overruled him, now because of threats, the school has to hire security. I'm not religious, but I doubt if I was harmed by all of the ones that I heard.

Did anyone besides me find it strange that in the box "Race of Father" it lists African. I don't think African was used in 1961 to describe a Negro. In the South we used Ni**er, Negro and Colored...I'm not sure what they used in Hawaii.

If the birt certificate were the only thing being hid, I would write it off. But where are his school records, thesis paper, Michele's school grades and her papers. Why was Michele paid over 300K per year at a hospital and when she left the hospital eliminated that position?

Palin seems to get nuttier by the day/QUOTE]

I actually said this kind of tongue-in-cheek, but geez she is really trying to help back me up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS4C7bvHv2w

This woman should never open her mouth in public.

Ok, now I am going back into my "Staying the hell out of the political discussions" mode.
It looks like Sarah knows her history better than some think.

Experts back Sarah Palin’s historical account

Sarah Palin yesterday insisted her claim at the Old North Church last week that Paul Revere “warned the British” during his famed 1775 ride — remarks that Democrats and the media roundly ridiculed — is actually historically accurate. And local historians are backing her up.

Palin prompted howls of partisan derision when she said on Boston’s Freedom Trail that Revere “warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.”

Palin insisted yesterday on Fox News Sunday she was right: “Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there. That, hey, you’re not going to succeed. You’re not going to take American arms.”

In fact, Revere’s own account of the ride in a 1798 letter seems to back up Palin’s claim. Revere describes how after his capture by British officers, he warned them “there would be five hundred Americans there in a short time for I had alarmed the Country all the way up.”

Boston University history professor Brendan McConville said, “Basically when Paul Revere was stopped by the British, he did say to them, ‘Look, there is a mobilization going on that you’ll be confronting,’ and the British are aware as they’re marching down the countryside, they hear church bells ringing — she was right about that — and warning shots being fired. That’s accurate.”

I wonder if Obama has visited all of the "57" states he said he campaigned in?

For the life of me, I can not fathom why so many people on the left, i.e. the liberals and progressives, hate this woman. Tell you what, if you had to be stranded on a desert island with a woman, who would you pick? A liberal one like Hillary, Ruth Ginsberg, Janet Reno, Donna Shalala, or any of the others of them, or some one that looks as good as Sarah, and can skin and clean a moose? The liberals hate her because they fear her.

While I am not a big Palin supporter I think she is especially a danger to the liberal woman's movement. She is good looking, has shown executive skills, is a right to life advocate, has held a high political office is respected by the average woman or man and doesn't spout their liberal bull$hit. While I don't think she will run I think she is a threat to the Dems who go after her and her family at any opportunity they can. This is the party that has the high moral standards like the Kennedy's, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Bill Clinton or Blagoavich has little room to denigrate the family values of Palin.

And, now the Kenyans are honoring Obama's birthplace.

"The ministry of national heritage this month hosted a cultural festival in Kogelo and commissioned a cultural museum on a plot donated by a member of the Kogelo community. The cultural festival was attended by the minister for national heritage, William ole Ntimama and U.S. ambassador, Michael Ranneberger.

This was to honour the birthplace of President Obama and re-dedicate the tomb of Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., the president's late father. But the project had been delayed because of ownership wrangles surrounding the plot."

The bold, underlined portion in the above post is a link, for those that don't know.

Boy, I wished I knew how to edit a post. I just can't find the right tab (button) to push.
