I run an Express Exterior wash which is a combination of high pressure and cloth brushes. I have no brushes that run along the back of the car and I do not wish to use hog hair mops to clean the customers car.
I have heard of many touchfree tunnels and iba's that clean the windshield eyebrow and rear of the car simple using chemicals. I'm interested in knowing what these chemicals are.

I currently use a foaming presoak from Simoniz called Ultra and I use Top Gun, also from Simoniz, for my gun prep. We use Top Gun specifically because it is safe in hard water. If anyone knows of any good chemicals the info is much appreciated.

I have really good luck in my Vector touchfree with the blendco chemicals- you can adjust the strength to do whatever amount of cleaning required, but remember that stronger chemicals cost a little more, I was at 13 titration with ecolab, and it works well in the low 20's for me. All you need to do for more info
is pull down the left corner on the screen for more info where it says click here.

If you are trying to do this consistently at speed without solutions and HP only I think you are looking for a black cat in a dark room. Good luck.

Are the chemicals you use from blendco safe in hardwater  because I don't really know how many grains the water from the city is. I would like to use the chemical in my prep guns or maybe replace the general purpose foaming presoak with some that you recommend for my conveyor.

Well I will do whatever it takes to get the rear of the vehicle clean without using hog hair brushes. I am willing to use solutions and HP but I just want to know what is the combination of solution and HP that works best. Any help is appreciated

Just curious, why no hog hair brushes? Are you already using manual labor for prep? It's just as easy to put a brush in an attendant's hand as it is a wand. Yes, they will need training, but it is done successfully in many operations.

They have the extra safe "all around" brushes that have the bristle totally encircling the head of the brush, to eliminate any chance of the bumper even touching the car - if that is your concern.

How are you cleaning the fronts?

Well some customers don't prefer having the hog hair touching their car and I want to provide a could clean rear with out having to wipe of the dirt during the drying process. I know touchfree tunnels manage to get the car clean without touching it using a combination of chemicals and pressure and am curious to know how they do it.
