How much does it cost you?

Just wondering as wash owners and wash operators do you know how much it is costing you to wash a car?

How much does it cost you to wash a car( Prep, Pre Soak, Tire Cleaner, Foam Soap, Tri-Foam, Water, Drying Agent, Sealer Wax, Dryers,Labor,_,_,_,_)

Just would like to see from other wash owners and operators how much they estimate it cost to wash a car and what kind of chemicals are they currently using?

Thanks in advance

I think you need to figure "Cost to wash a car" seperately for the basic wash versus ones with extra services. For one thing you get skewed results for locations that have perhaps high volume washes with a lower percentage of extra service sales versus lower volume and higher extra service sales.

Depending on options a basic wash may include only pre soak / soap, wheel cleaner (perhaps not) and drying agent. Top package would be much more cotly for Sealer wax, Triple Foam, Rain X, Tire Shine, and perhaps a "Wheel Deal" but the revenue may be triple that of the basic wash.

The type of operation may or may not dictate labor as a direct cost. An EE with No prep or hand dry does not have labor as a direct cost. One loader / cashier can do 50 cars hour or 100 cars an hour.
