Employee Uniforms

What is the language I should use on agreement between my company and my employees regarding employee uniforms that the employee is issued by the company?

We provide our employees with 5 sets of uniforms and we launder them for them, they have a clean uniform every day. Who is going to be responsible to clean, launder and press your employees uniforms?

They are make more than $10/hr. They are cleaning their uniforms.

WA state law says that if they laundry them you need to pay them to do it. As I recall, it was about $5 a week or so.

I have laundry machines in the detail shop I plan to use for washing the uniforms.

Quality Permanent Press shirts & skirts or trousers should solve that dilemma.

I find it interesting that you guys as the employer are responsible for providing a clean uniform. For us, we provide 2-3 uniform shirts based upon # of hours worked and it is the employee's responsibility to provide black pants that meet our requirements and to have a clean uniform.

JeffM check your state laws before one of your employees do. I made a small mistake once and sure enough, an employee figured it out and turned me in. Labor & Industries sends you a letter and you have days to pay the difference and the fine.

I probably should have mentioned that I am in Manitoba, Canada, and that we don't have any laws like that.
