I wanted to start an official thread for hearing reviews of the show as well as the new must have items. So...let's hear it!

Had a great time seeing friends and socializing. Got some questions answered on the show floor but have not made any purchases as of yet, although I am considering the wyndstar doors. I didn't see anything revoloutionary. There does seem to be several SS mfgs that are converting to direct injection systems on their pump stands.

I did not attend any educational sessions. How did the SS roundtable go?

Jeff Call of wash verify, has a kit to convert your Hubble (??) lights to LEDs cheap and BRIGHT.

Blendco invited me to their breakfast and they went over a number of new products and equipment. I think Kelly is going to put the info in the Messages from our sponsors.

For the tunnel operators I saw very little in the way of new ideas. Belangers low speed top brush was interesting, but I will wait to see if it actually can clean anything. For guys with detail shops, the Nano technology rubberized buffing pads are very interesting.:)

I thought PDQ's new friction machine looked well designed. I am looking forward to seeing one in real life. It solves some of the issues that I have with other machines on the market.

I was interested to find that PDQ now offers an oscillating dryer option on their Tandem and LW360 models. Outside nozzles are stationary, and middle two oscillate. Kind of like the old L4000 dryer package only better.

I checked out Shur Vend's new VendPro-iG4 stand alone vendor. This will work great at one of my locations that doesnt have enough open wall space for a through the wall vendor. Jim's done a great job designing and building this machine. So I ordered one.

CarWash Super Store had a show special on Armorall Protectant Vend Packs for $43 with free shipping, so I ordered 20 cases. Anytime I can save money and avoid shipping costs, I do so.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Did Ryko have their new "cost effective" friction rollover there?

I saw Rykos new low cost version of a touchless IBA. $52,995 installed. Not a bad price but it is not a radius by any means. I also saw several other mfg. had low cost IBA. Carolina Pride had the best token vendor for ACWS wanting to add free vacs IMO. The roundtable meetings went well but could have been hours longer. The offerings for the SS operator were very poor other than the roundtable the Etowah valley put on.

Best Sessions were round tables AND
The forum Party.

Anyone hear anything from or about JJ? Missed seeing a new SS Car Wash News this year.

Got info I wanted on Credit Cards.

A couple of Strong Dollar Coin advocates.

Met Anthony A at the show and he was nice to answer my question about a high Pressure valve for a no moving part High pressure wheel blaster. Also told him the One piece plastic mixing stations were NG because they are tough to clean the scum out of. The other style that has a square container resting on aluminum arms is better.

Talkes to Coinco and compalined that a couple of units they reapired under Warranty faikled within weeks. They told me any more issues to call them and they would have them picked up at their cost.

Met an LSI guy who I asked about LED lumens vs the 320W scottsdales. He told me the lumens are less but it is a different / truer light so thats not the best comparison???

He said 2.5 year payback on a gas station canopy, But I still think that's wrong if your not open 24/7 averaging 6 hours a day or less versus 12.

Got my show discount on custom air fresheners and the guy let me add a 1000 with different text for a charity event with no screen charge.

I felt that everybody's industry outlook was high. Maybe the sun will come up tomorrow. We had a spell there where a lot of bad decisions were made by manufactures and wanna be operators. I think we may be on the positive side of the industry's economic self correction.

I think there was a certain amount of cautious optimism. Most people that I talked to seemed to feel that things will get better but were not sure when. Talked to a few vendors. Not a lot of orders but a lot of leads. I thought the attendance was about the same as last year.

Ric, the way I understand it the answer is "yes"! They want your business. You tell them that you are ordering from the show special with whatever deals you want and the free freight. You're entitled to one order so make sure you don't leave anything out because the second order will come with freight and no deal!!

They usually have this deal at all the shows they attend I think. Someone might correct me on that, but that's what I understand.

FYI regarding Kleen-Rite show specials.

I checked with them this morning and they are honoring their show specials through the 18th. I just ordered $2k worth of vending etc which should save quite a bit just with the free shipping offer!
