My wash has a cement slab roof (tongue and groove slabs) and is roughly 6 to 8 inches thick. In the wintertime, I lose ALOT of heat through the roof of my equipment room and dog wash. Would adding an R-Value of 7 be of any help or would I just be wasting my time and money?

I was looking at this product and was intrigued as to whether this might be a decent solution for my ceiling?

Any input or alternatives would be appreciated.

Thanks! John

If you have the headroom, you could put in a drop ceiling. You'd both increase the insulation and reduce the area being heated.

I'm hesitant to do that in the dog wash since I have my automatic stainless steel lines running along the ceiling....not a bad idea though if those lines weren't there.

What about "gluing" that rigid foam board up there, I assume that you are worried about freezing the ss lines, why not spray them with the canned foam?
