Time to replace your nozzles!

I was testing some of my products on my system and noticed the pressure seemed off so I turned up the water pressure to some of my products little change. I turned the air up as well little to no change, checked the supply lines and noticed a few to be kinda kinked so I replaced them no change also noticed some lines were way too long and ignorantly installed. So I shortened them up and rerouted them, retested still no change then I replaced the nozzles and WOW all the spray patterns we're better then I have ever seen them, pressure was now way to high as was the air. So before I get carpartunnel from typing so much, check/replace your nozzles to save money and puts out a better show for customers.
 
Hypro makes these nozzles with ceramic inserts and they outlast regular stainless by a ridiculous amount especially with a strong acid running through them. They are by far the best nozzle available period! Well worth whatever they cost, The regular v jet stainless were burning out every 2 months now im over a year and still running strong no pressure drop.

I have seen those only on Laser-washes seems to me when I go through a wash with these nozzles the sound when the high pressure starts isn't loud or the sound isn't powerful enough to the customer.
 
While changing nozzles after a certain time period might make it easy to remember the best way would be to base it on how many cycles the equipment has made. Worn nozzles tend to use more chemical than necessary which can be costly. They also can effect the product coverage on the car creating striping.

Busy washes should change nozzles much more often than those that do less washes. Simple volumetrics should give you a clue when nozzles are wearing they tend to draw more product than when they are new. In some cases you might also notice a change in the spray pattern. Pattern tends to get narrower than normal as the nozzle wears. Plastic nozzles hold up well with low pH products. The hardened steel (meg type) do well with high ph product. Ceramics do well for both also but I am not sure they are worth the extra $$$.

Hey Diamond did you get nozzles from Ryko? My guy tried to switch mine today with some I ordered from KR and he couldn't get them started.

I got mine at Kleen-Rite as well, which nozzles are you replacing? I did "all" of mine if the old ones came out then the new ones should go in the same way, I put a small amount of anti-seize on the threads when re-installing.

On our high pressure auto we put brass fittings into the ss boom fittings and then screwed the nozzles into the brass fittings, that way we don't have ss in ss.

Nozzle Change

Pressure Drop is a dead givaway for me and nozzle changes. If I get a 50 PSI drop or more they get changed. As mentioned you will be able to notice a spray pattern deterioration on the LP passes. Very difficult to tell (for me) on the HP passes.
 
Anyone tried the stainless/ceramic nozzles from Hypro? They are a few times the price but they claim they last 10 times longer.
 
Jimmy, your right I don't even see them anymore I put a message into KR customer support department on where they went. I'll look through my order history

If you want them Windtrax also sells them but not in brass only Stainless. Just type in 9520 in the search area on their site.
