Hey Folks,
Been a few years since I have been on here. I always lurk, but haven't participated in a while. Life got too busy for a while.
Anyways, I have a WW1.0 and during the wash/rinse processes....I can intermittently (not always) watch the top boom drop down about 1-3 inches below flush with the gantry. This is only happening about 20% of the time, as usually, the boom stays retracted into the gantry.
However, it will sometimes "dip" down and the high-pressure wash/rinsing will pause for a split second; simultaneously the boom will raise back up and the high-pressure will resume instantly. And, on occasion, it is my theory that this issue is also causing the "wash cycle" to lose track and prematurely tell customers that the wash is finished; so, go ahead and exit (with soap and wax still on their car).
I've talked to a few other JCC owners, and they tell me "your top boom gearbox" is worn out and needs replaced. They say the worn out gear box is allowing the boom to drop/sag.
Thoughts?? I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks, Dirty Dawg Carwash in Owasso, OK
