For those of you that are familiar with Airlift doors, can you take a look at this album and help me determine a price to offer for these used doors?

I cannot test functionality and will have to remove them myself. I really only need one of the doors but would like both to have back up parts if necessary. One door uses chains on the cylinder and the other door uses the "belt" style on the cylinder.

Does anyone have a contact at Airlift that could help me price up replacement parts for when I do an install?

Thanks!

Bubbles - John,

It has been a few years since we have needed to stop by at either of the Airlift facilities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area or ordered from them to be shipped. I can tell you that from our experience with everyone there has been great. They have proved over the years to be very accommodating & helpful. We have 6 of their doors & 7 of their 24VDC Zap operators. Because of customers running into them etc. we always keep spare panels & parts on hand. We have the counterweight- strap system. The counterweights look very similar to barbells.

So if you can give their parts people the proper info ... from experience, I am sure that who ever answers when you call .... will get you a list of the exact parts for your specific airlift doors so you will have the ability to order them.

Our installer on our airlift doors used large pins controlled by air cylinders for locking purposes which we really like.

I was thinking about offering $500 per door since I can't test anything without a compressor and will have to disassemble myself. Thoughts?

Airlift is good to deal with but has gotten a dealer network established and
hard to get things direct. American i think sells direct still. Ask what the guy
wants first- you will need to replace all the bearings on the doors- most likely
the rollers- the openers i wouldn't use until they got rebuilt caps and rings- all fairly easy work to do---But not many buyers out there--offer less- but still worth the $500
