I just had another bad experience with Coleman/Hanna,

now for my question,

Has anyone replaced the General Pump Unloader on their Water Wizard with another brand? if so what brand and model .

I seem to have more problems with these unloaders an no success with the repair kits and replacement cost are getting very expensive.

Coleman needs some damage control!

I don't have any good answers other than my rebuild kits from KR have seemed to last at least two to three years before they start leaking again.

Sometimes the brass is eroded away by the time it starts leaking. Look inside where the o-ring on the removable stainless seat seals - if it isn't smooth, replace the regulator.

I'm not sure what you're flow requirements are, but I have good success with Giant's unloaders. I use them on all of my automatics which either use a Cat3535 (35gpm) or Giant LP121 (28 gpm). They are not cheap but they last a long time. We do not bother trying to rebuild them, although I'd like to hear from anyone that has whether it's worth it or not.

Here is a link to the unloader I'm talking about:

I have several and rebuild them all! They will finally wear out inside then its trash. The kits from KR are good and easy to rebuild!

Word on the street, for whatever that's worth, is that Ed O Hanrahan bought into it. He was a big PDQ distributor in FL, but aparantly PDQ didn't think much of one of their distributors also being a competitor. My opinion is that Ed is basically a nice guy, sort of, but his past success had a lot to do with being in the right place at the right time, not exceptional business acumen. Should be fun to watch. Sounds like he has his work cut out for him.

I just had another bad experience with Coleman/Hanna,
Thats their trade mark. I've been waiting for a wheel brush motor for almost a month. What is bad is that this is my 3rd one. 1 year warranty really defeats the purpose of keeping motors on hand. They wont give me credit for motor burn out 8 months after installation NOT purchase date.
