I am having a heck of a time trying to stop a couple leaks on stainless to stainless pipe fittings. My normal method is to use teflon tape and loctite 567 pipe dope over the teflon tape which is made for stainless but it isn't giving me very good results. Any suggestions as to what works for you.

Have you tried the yellow or pink tape? They are quite a bit thicker.

btw, I've been told by more than 1 plumber that teflon tape is not intended to stop leaks, its purpose is to prevent galvanic issues. Dont know the entire truth myself, but it sure does seem to prevent leaks for me so I just assume it does both and carry on.
Occasionally I do seem to get a fitting that leaks no matter what I do with the tape. I usually switch out fittings/brands to resolve it.

The Leak Lock GOLD has Teflon in it, I’ve never used it. We have only used the Blue.
