Hamilton Gold Line DC Power Supply

I need a DC power supply for my Hamilton Gold Line ACW. Part # 60-2012A.
Hamilton was not open yesterday for shipping and they are closed Monday - Thursday for inventory.
I will pay a premium for it if I can either pick it up or you could overnight it to me. I'm in Cincinnati, OH.

What you need is just the DC Power supply board Part #49-9304, I've always got one in stock. There's a big difference in the price of the DC Power supply board #49-9304 and the complete DC power supply #60-2012A. If you using a Goldline ACW it's a good idea to keep a spare DC power supply board, they always seem to go out on busy weekend.

Darryl Chesser from Bardstown KY had one and was VERY fair!

I have not put the board in yet, but I hope it is my ONLY problem!

Two notes: 1) Order the board ONLY for half the price and less than $100. 2) Why doesn't the fuse blow when these boards get fried? Both Darryl and Randy said they NEVER blow. Is this an engineering flaw?

I'm still wondering why there's a GFI outlet in the Goldline when it's not connected to anything.

I believe the outlet is to make it handy for repairs that may need a solder or two. Pretty sure mine is connected to 110volt, but it's been a while since I used it?!

When I took the GFI out to see if it was bad and causing the unit to not power up, it wasn't connected to anything at all. It was just mounted and grounded. If I remember correctly, the ACW 4's and 5's had an outlet to plug in the CC modem.

I believe a gfi monitors everything on that circuit and if there are any problems it will trip the circuit.


Also that gold line dc power supply looks like a standard dc power supply with 2 molex connectors?

You could use a standard computer power supply in a pinch I would think? Ugly though.

It will if the AC power goes through it. The GFI plug in there lets you wire through it and will protect anything on the circuit after it, but like I said it's not wired up at all. It's just mounted and grounded.

It might be, but since it was dead I had no way to tell what the output voltages were to see if I could hook up a PC power supply temporarily.

I agree.... Even though the colored wires should be standard denoting the voltages. I would defiantly check first.

I am also not an electrician.... But I know electricial plugs don't have a back flow preventer built into them.

I'm talking about that some GFI outlets allow wire to be run out to another outlet so it's also ground fault protected. I don't even know how you got "back flow preventer" from what I said.

I don't know? Electricity flows both way? LOL But it just doesn't seem to hard to believe that a plug in gfi and a wired in version are the same. At a house you can kill a circuit without using the gfi plug.

I think your electrician should have wired the incoming power to the GFI and then hooked the power wires to the other side to feed ACW. Once power goes through a GFI all other circuits connected to it should be GFI protected. That is what my electrician did on all of mine.

I didn't say that either. I said the GFI isn't wired into the auto cashier in any way. It's just mounted in the hole and the ground wire is attached to the chassis. I discovered it when the unit was dead and didn't appear to have any power, so the first thing I did was check the GFI by pressing the reset button and nothing happened, and I pulled it out thinking it was bad.

I came here looking for help with my DC supply on my goldline, and thanks for the heads up on this part 49-9304! But my supplier is telling me 5-7 days! Anyone here have a spare to sell? Thanks!
