Powdered Presoak - 2 simple questions - Thank you

OK, I am giving powdered presoak a try. Specifically, I am trying KR turbo powder with 1/3 of a 5 gal pail of KR Purple Passion. I have my barrel mixer set up to run 10 minutes 4 times a day. Here are my 2 questions:

What size tip should I use for my LW 4000?

How do I keep the suction hose that drops into the presoak from getting tangled in the mixing motor?

These seem like easy question. I would suspect that the viscosity of the presoak will be less when I switch to a powdered mix from Warsaw 534. Being less viscous, I probably need a smaller tip, right?

The other seems really simple, but I am not figuring it out. I mean, my suction hose has to be long enough to reach almost the bottom of the barrel and the motor is going to turn on 4 times a day, what keeps the line from getting tangled in the mixer???

Screw a PVC pipe to the wall of the barrel and run your draw tube through it. Don't go all the way to the bottom though... Some powders can have some fallout...

I have just started using a similar blend. I have M5s which should be fairly close to the same chemical delivery system. I am somewhere around a white tip to get the recommended titration. I am using the kit that KR suggested.

As far as the mixing issue goes I drill mix for now with a home made attachment . Before I invest in barrel mixers I want to see how this stuff works long term. I haven't tried it yet but I'm thinking of inserting the hose into a piece of PVC pipe long enough to go down to near the bottom of the barrel and have it stick out the top a bit. Then fab up a bracket to bolt to the top of the barrel then clamp the PVC pipe to the bracket. In theory it should keep the hose safely to the side. Unless your using an outboard boat motor as a mixer that is.

Take one of the lids/caps of your barrel and drill a hole in the middle of it. Put your product hose in pvc, slide the pvc through the hole in the lid/cap, put on foot valve, screw lid/cap back on. You can take a small screw and screw it into the pvc, above the lid/cap, at any spot you want to set the level of your pvc/hose/foot valve.

I have a timer that has 7 on/off cycles per day, choose your duration for each. I'm pretty sure I got it at Home Depot, but it was many years ago.

I do basically the same thing, except I removed the bung cap and slid PVC through the bung to the bottom after I cut a few slots in it with a metal cutoff blade. I also used a tee and eight 45° fittings and pipe to build an octagonal loop that rests in the bottom with holes drilled in the pipe every few inches and at a slight angle to swirl the mix. Hot water is plumbed to that to fill the drum and mix the powder at the same time. I probably need to clean it, and I'll take some pictures then.
