Has anybody here ever tried using a regular snack vending machine to vend car wash products? And have you used it outdoors? I know they are not rated for outdoor use but has anybody done it? Want to get away from the drop shelf and get a glass front but the price is so high, I was just wondering if anybody had done this. Thanks!

All the vendors are regular snack vendors. But there are two different kinds of vendors.... Indoor and outdoor. Ever manufacturer I believe sells both? I read on other forums you can "convert" indoor to outdoor? Also if you put an indoor unit in a wall or have a canopy that might make it so you do not need an outdoor unit? But I just read about the vendors and still have my in wall unit.

Also crain and ams are the only vendors with guarantee vend.... I read. Some lawsuit maybe? I have used and watched a new ams sens 3 vendor and it needs surevend technology for it to work right.

I've had a "indoor" Crane bolted to the wall, under the canopy, next to my changers for about 10 years. Purchased it from a local vending machine dealer. Except for having to replace a few shelf wiring harnesses, it's been very reliable.

I actually wanted to purchase a Dixie Narco / Crane.... What model number do you have?

Thanks! I think I may just have to try it. I'll post on here when I do and what happens.

He has a refurbished unit listed in the "Pre-owned" section for about half what they cost new.

I've got four Shurvend vendors. Two new, and two refurbished. All have worked great. Oldest is 9 years old, no major problems. I changed out the plexiglass and lexan last year because is they were beginning to get cloudy. Shurvend offers great support if you have questions about them.
