new to the forum

hello forum members,

i am new to this forum. i just wanted to say hello! i have been working at my dad's car wash and laundromat for awhile now but i will be taking over soon. i registered for this forum to gain as much information as i can about the business and hopefully add a little bit of what i've learned along the way. i am located in the greater houston area.

Welcome, John! There's a lot of knowledge shared on this site that will no doubt save you time, $$, headaches and hopefully provide helpful insights as to how other operators approach things. I would also recommend attending the ICA and/or regional shows. As you well know, there's always something to learn about this business, but isn't that part of what makes it fun?

Funny.. I'm in the exact same situation as you. My dad has a carwash and laundromat and ill be taking over there as well. I'm sure we'll have similar experiences in the next few years.

---And to everyone else - first post here. I'm graduating high school next month then going to college for facilities management. I'm excited for that but more excited to get some meaningful work done at the carwash. I have a ton of ideas that I want to implement that I'm learning from this forum. You guys are doing a great service to everyone in the industry.
