I recently purchased three used j e Adams 3 motor vacs. We have space to install two at our wash where we currently have five IVS two motor vacs. I assume the j e Adams vacs have better suction considering the additional motor. I am not familiar with the j e Adams and wondering what differences I will realize between mfgs? Any advice is appreciated.

HAve plenty of 2 and 3 motor vacs. (No JE Adams 3 motor) AFAIAC unless the 3 motor gives you an option to charge more $ for some turbo option the 3rd motor is a PITA. Heavier supply wiring needed and relays to timer. For kicks you may want to try it as a 2 motor just temporarily sealing the hole for the third motor and see what difference you feel.

I have a 3 motor JE Adams. There are two selections for vacuum, vacuum and turbo vacuum. The regular vacuum is $1/4mins and the turbo I believe is $1/3mins

There are two types of three-motor vacs. One has a third motor that creates a higher vacuum and higher flow and has a selection for the "turbo" mode with reduced time. The other just has three motors all the same, and IMO doesn't really work any better than a two-motor vac assuming you maintain them regularly.

With the 3 motor vacuums you’ll need to run #10 ga. wire and use a 30 amp breaker. If you maintain (clean them out regularly) your vacuums you don't need a third motor. All of our vacuums we charge $1.25 for 3 minutes.

I run 3 motor vacs in all my vacs. Nice thing about a third motor is that if you lose one motor you still have ample suction. I have dixmoor timers and charge 1.75 for 3 min. I do think a third motor does give a little more suction. I have them and charge accordingly

ICEMAN, do your motors have a check valve under them to close off a non-working motor? None of mine do (D&S, IVS, Fragramatics). If I have a motor fail it creates a giant leak with the other motors pulling through the dead one. A three motor vac with only two working motors is usually quite lame.
