Hello All - Thought I would ask a question to Self Serve owners in particularly those that are in the Northeastern U.S. - Southeastern, PA area.

Reviewing my numbers from last year and I am down significantly over last years numbers. By about 15% has anyone else seen this decrease in revenue?

The brutaly cold winter in terms of extremely low temps and long stretches of cold without a break adversely affected the Chicago market.

I won't actually know for a month or so but it feels carwash is down from last year. I know my cash reserves are lower but our company drilled and connected a water well and purchased an apartment building and that was a drain on liquid assets.

Our small used car lot sold 5 or 6 more cars than in 2013, which helps.

Last winter was a rough one with too much precip to get any real long stretches of good washing.

This Winter is staring off with alot of precip too.

S.E. Pa. Best year since 2008 and I have 3 weeks to go!! I made a lot of improvements over the last 2 years, including a pumpstand upgrade, pumped up the soaps big time!! Newer Coin Acceptors and Vacuums. Just ordered Ginsan Lumi Ultra's and upped prices for first time in 12 years!!! Another price increase once the new selector doors go in. I took out an underperforming 40+year old, 47' express exterior tunnel and put in a used Washworld High Velocity. Best thing I ever did, not looking back washing way more cars, overhead is way down along with stress level!!! I know I bucked the trends, but I did what I felt was best for my location and competition and its worked well.

Best year ever (Since first unit opened in 1994). In Lower Delaware and just across the line into Maryland; 5 locations. The Winter rocked, and has kept the momentum the entire year.
