I have heard good things about Kleen-rite Purple Passion and we have been thinking about switching over to it. We don't have any equipment in our wash that gets the front and back of the vehicle so we rely alot on the chemicals to get it done. Can anyone vouch for how well the Purple Passion is able to clean the road oil from the front and back with out and physical brushing?

I also recently went to a deltasonic, they have a pretty much identical tunnel to us, and noticed the used a citrus scented soap for their prepping and presoak. I assume it must be d'limonene based, I could be wrong, so I was wondering if anyone has used MC Liquid from Simoniz since its a d'limonene additive that we have wanted to try. Anyone know if I can add it to Purple Passion?

Feel free to mention any chemicals you use to clean cars, I'm always looking for ways to improve our process.

Purple Passion is a neutral presoak, tried it, I thought it was junk. It did smell nice, however. In order to get it to work successfully on bugs and other tough to remove dirt I had to run it at 30/1 dilution.

Tried it in the SS. Had issues with gelling. Got rid of it. Not for a tunnel. I use the KR Low PH for pre soak.

Ditto on the Purple Passion - can't get film off in a self serve with tons of dwell time and the wand 8 inches from the surface - certainly will not cut it in a conveyor. Also - I would't mix chemicals without a thorough understanding of their composition.

Delta blends many of their own chemicals - the ones that they do not blend are from Simoniz. They build much of their own equipment as well, except for the blowers which usually are Belanger.

Delta can get away with a lot of shortcomings in their wash process because they towel/spray bottle everything after the wash with as many as 10-12 employees on busy days. Drive away without a wipedown and you will see the car is quite dirty. Front and back ends are loaded with film if you drive away without getting toweled.

They do extensive high pressure wand prepping before the wash, but a few boar hair brushes added to that prep would take care of the problems more thoroughly and safely than toweling off all the dirt at the exit.

They sell their Touch-Less wash as the safest way to wash the car, but they are marring the heck out of paint by toweling dirty surfaces.
