The Tall bay is SS. They have no lights in there. They were going to put an Automatic in and that never happened. I am going to change all lights slowly to LED. Had my first 24 hrs under my belt. It grossed a whopping 97.50...

It's priced at 1.75 for 4. Thinking of going to 1.00 for 2?? Make it the return of the Dollar car wash...

You don't want to do that. You'll get the lowest dregs in who spend the minimum to make the biggest messes.

Would not go below 1.75. Would not go above it until you've done noticeable improvements either.

No don't go to a dollar! Start up at my wash is $3. Best move I ever made. Raise the price. You will soon resent the wash and working there if your price is low and profit is low. Very bad idea. Come to your senses newbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30 years ago I tried $1.00 to start, it was a huge mistake. I got every pickup truck bed washer and bucket washer around. It didn’t take long to realize that I needed to go to $1.50 to start for 4 minutes. Today I’m at $2.25 for 3:30 minutes. The first time I got a vacuum full of used Kitty litter I raised my price to $1.00 from .75 and lowered to time from 5 minutes to 3 minutes, I made that move probably 15 years ago. I'm in the process now of raising my vacuum prices to $1.25 for 3:30 minutes. My competition on the other end of town is still at .75 for 5 minutes, he’s a poor operator and I very seldom see any one vacuuming there.

As stated earlier, stay where you are at until some upgrades have been done. When upgrades are done then consider price increase or time decrease.
I am at $1 for 2min4sec bays
$1 for 4.5 min on vacs.

Keep in mind that all locations are not the same. What works for some may not mean it will work for all. What ever you do make sure any time / price change works for you and your wash.
