Does anyone else have problems with the carriage wheels cracking on their High Velocity or Laser? I have Stainless Steel wheels and have had numerous wheels crack at the mounting points and they pinch the tubes and we get a blowout. I try to run tires around 30-32 psi.

Yes, contact a gentleman named Jamey Turner 678-313-1216. He sells solid no flat tires that fit the washworld. We have used them for years. The only problem is if you live in a cold climate, and do not have doors, the hubs will start to spin inside of the tire at very low temperatues, say 10 to 15 degrees. We generally just replace them once a year right before winter, no more problems with flat tires

You should be able to solve that problem, by putting a few self tapping screws through the hub into the tire. Magic Wand Oval Track Automatic had those solid wheels on the trolley with the screws in them and never had a problem with spinning on the hub.

Yep, that's exactly what we did. It worked ok, we now have doors on both ends and it never gets that cold in there. Zero problems with them at all now.

I am guessing that you have to remove a roller and safety stop to lower the carriage to put them on?? Do you use them on carriage and trolley?? I was thinking about foam filling tires but was told it would lead to to much drag on everything and cause overloads on the VFD??

No, you don't have to remove anything other than the tire. It's no different than changing the stock tires. Except they are a very tight fit. I've done enough of them that I have it down to a science, but expect a challenge the first time. We use them on both carriage and trolley, yes.
