Weep system

It's the wrong solenoid for the way the power is hooked up now, but check your thermostat. The one I usually use will work with either NO of NC solenoids by just moving one wire lead.
 
I dont mean to beat a dead horse, but buy yourself a weep miser, it will save you enough $ to pay for itself very quickly.
In addition to saving you $ it will give you a much more standard weep setup which allows us to help more easily. It will also eliminate the need to adjust your thermostat based on the weather.

They are simple to install - 2 wires to the normally open soleniod, 2 wires for power (ie plug it into a wall outlet), and 2 wires for the thermostat (included i think). Just use the default programming.

Paul, That's what I've been trying to tell the guy. Get a frigg'n Dixmor Weep Mizer and join the rest of the world instead of some antique bulb thermostat. I got rid of the bulb thermostat about 1988.
 
One of the hardest things I had to over-come after buying a CW was to put my big boy panties on and go outside my comfort zone when something needed fixed or modified! Do the research on a project till your comfortable you'll do it right and then go for it! For a weep system, you might want to tackle it during temps that will be well above freezing for a few days in case you have a hiccup....Assembly what you can before hand to shorten down-time...Don't wait till the last minute and then its panic time....We've all been there and its not fun. So plan ahead....Sometimes we make things a lot harder than what it actually is. OP...Listen to these guys on here. Get a weepmizer. They are not leading you astray.

If it's Normally open solenoid that means No Power = Open. Turning thermostat up for heat would turn off heat = no power = open = water coming out.

I put a new solenoid on last week because it was running all summer. It’s still running, when I turn it to 30 degrees it will click and when I turn it up you can hear the solenoid buzz.
There is a check valve on the left side, not sure if it’s good or bad. Any idea why the water won’t shut off?

I think Probably all that's wrong is that you pop the fuse in the weep miser. It's there on the bottom side where all your wires plug in give it a little quarter turn. Then the fuse will pop out of there. If the fuse is popped then the water runs all the time regardless of what all that readout is doing. So first things first I check that fuse you're probably doing a bunch of work you don't needed to do. It's it's one of those hair thin fuses
